EASTER TRADITION

One of Malta ‘s Easter Traditions is the Risen of the Lord. This is celebrated on Easter Sunday . From early in the morning the bells of the church starts to announce that it is the Day of a Great Feast.

At around 9.30 the procession starts withy the statue of the Risen going around the roads. They also do the blesssings of the figolli in some villages.

At the end of the procession they make beautiful runs with the statue and at around 1.30 the statue is back in the church.
